Since launching in 2018, Whittaker Lemberg Productions has championed poignant storytelling and innovative production. The company currently has five films and prospective TV pilots in development, each with strong commercial potential:
MancBeth: Flagship Production
MancBeth serves as Whittaker Lemberg's lead production, strategically developed to optimise commercial success. In 2024, the project premiered its musical stage show at Modern Art Oxford and Band on The Wall in Manchester. This multimedia event offered audiences a modern take on the Shakespeare classic through an immersive blend of film, song, and drama.
Press coverage from the Oxford Times and Manchester Evening News highlighted how the stage production served as crucial research for the screenplay adaptation process. Insights from these performances have informed a new draft of the screenplay.
MancBeth represents a strategic investment combining high-quality storytelling with market appeal and diversified revenue streams that extend beyond traditional film distribution. As Whittaker Lemberg's flagship production, it will define the company's creative and commercial reputation while establishing a foundation for future projects.
Awards & Recognition
The Overcoat — Platinum Winner, 53rd Houston International Film Festival (2022)
Based on Nikolai Gogol's 1842 short story, The Overcoat follows a lowly office worker whose new overcoat transforms his bleak and invisible existence. Filmed in 2021 in partnership with XL Films. (The film was short lived on the festival circuit due to Covid lockdown.)
